Welcome everyone to another story time with Elder Hamson.
Angel is not yet baptized again, still waiting on finding his mom and
getting her approval. But, still good news, Logan is still on track
and will be baptized here on the 23rd. So, yay! Oh, we met this guy
who is super close to God and he feels like he has a six sense of know
what is right and wrong. He had some cool stories about following
promptings and helping people. Ah, it's so cool because he is already
living the Christ like example and it is so easy for him to notice the
spirit. He asked us to read through the Book of Mormon with him. So,
that's what we are doing and it has been going super well. I am
excited, he is amazing! We went to Sister Preston's and she was
sleeping so, we just taught her grandsons and they said they were
interested and would be baptized. We haven't been able to get back to
them yet they had to reschedule. Haha this week was kind of
uneventful. All we did was a bunch of service and picked up trash and
rescheduled most of our lessons. Yeah we were picking up a bunch of
trash in this guys yard and we found a gofer snake and chased it away.
Then we found a spiky lizard and kept him and took some pictures with
him haha it was silly but cool. We moved a bunch of wood for an
investigator of ours and it kinda reminded me of back home when we
used our wood stove and kept a wood pile. We helped a guy rake leaves
and pick up tree trimmings. We painted this ladies room and guess what
job I got? Yep, you guessed it, I painted the ceiling while all the
other elders painted the walls. It was kinda funny. We also moved a
chicken coop. It was super heavy and I am still not sure how we
managed to man handle it all the way down that hill. But, we did it!
So thats crazy, in the stormy cold wind too. It was fun though I have
been a little under the weather this week end so it has been hard to
get up and going when you feel sick. But, I didn't really have any
symptoms so, I just push through it. I just had a soar throat in the
mornings and I felt super weak and shaky Friday. But today is
preparation day so I am going to take a nap now so I get feeling
better. Thank you for your prayers, they mean so much to me! They
really do help and I wish I could return all the love rushing my way.
Welp enjoy my silly pictures!
I love you all! Hug this email from me. It's love and comfort for you. :)

Quit Complaining and Get to Work
Good day!
This week was a blur but, a quick update. We had zone training meeting
this week and I held a training about the referrals in on the new
system on our iPads. Because, I am now the iPad specialist for the
zone! So, that is exciting! Angel is doing good and he had his
baptismal interview and passed. So, we should be clear to baptize him
on the sixteenth but, we have a problem because he is a foster child
and we haven't found his mother. She is hiding out somewhere on the
reservation. We have been praying and are hoping for the best because,
he is so ready to be baptized. Marky boy is getting so close to being
cigarette free and I am so excited for him because he totally gave up
coffee cold turkey. Logan is set and ready to be baptized on the
twenty third. Irvin, our friend, is busy too much and I don't know if
we can get to all the lessons before the date we have him set for
baptism. It's hard because I think he still has some concerns and we
need to get him all pumped. Well, that's where we are at with our
baptisms. We teach the jones, a small family that live in a random
trailer out in the boonies. It was humbling to see how much they are
struggle and the little lot they live on is totally trashed because
the guy that lived there before left trash everywhere. We have been
over serving and helping them clean the trash and moving pallets and
other clean up work. Anyway, I'm sitting there teaching them about the
gospel and I am all of a sudden in tears because of how much God loves
them and the blessings that will come to them through living the
gospel. I am here helping people who are going through hell, who
barely have enough money to feed the fam and not sleep cold. How
spoiled am I with my slick new suit and a nice truck. A warm apartment
and a long bed to sleep in, plenty of food to eat and support from
members and all of your prayers. I complain about missing all my
family and friends when they lost them to addictions or death. It is
just so humbling to be in those moments where God slaps me in the face
and says "Quit complaining and get to work! My children are suffering
and searching for relief. Feed my sheep!"
Thank you for all the birthday wishes and your support and prayers.
They are working and I love you all. Stay safe and comforted. Turn to
God always and have peace.
