Yellowhair

Greetings my family!

This week was a bit of a blur.

The End

Elder Hamson

Just kidding my family!

This last week was a great week! We had our Zone Training Meeting and
I didn't have to give a training so, that was good. A bunch of new
missionary work news came about how member present lessons will bring
more success to our work. There was an in depth training about the
significance of The Atonement. That was really good! And we talked
about dedicating an hour each day to finding people in the evenings.
And we are trying to get a member to every single lesson. Which is
pretty big because before the goal was 60% of the lessons. But, anyway
they challenged us to go a month with out card games. Apparently some
people would rush through planning each night to get to there card
game. So, hopefully we will start doing a ton better this week.

We have a less active Native American man that is a painter. And
apparently he is pretty popular for this area. And he has some really
cool symbolic paintings and guess what!? That's right I got me one of
the famous Yellowhair paintings! I got a frame for it and everything!
I love it, it's of he snowflake temple and tells the story of the Book
of Mormon and how it applies to him as a Lamanite. So, I got me some
fine art. Thought you would want to know.

We were cooling off the house last P-day and a dog just ran in on us.
That's all that happened, we put him back outside but, just a random
funny story.

I have a silly story I forgot to share last month. We were going to a
dinner with some members. They were too lazy to cool so they invited
us to a Mexican restaurant. So, being naive missionaries, we got to
the restaurant, walk in, and it was a bar. It was a classic saloon
scene. We walk in, the room goes quiet and everyone turns to stare. We
were confused and uncomfortable then, the bar tender just points to
the door on the left of the room. And of course we walked through the
door and there was the restaurant. I just thought it was funny that we
walked into the bar and it was seriously the classic western scene
where someone walks in the bar and everyone turns and a tumble weed
rolls past. Haha, golden. Also last night as we were driving home. The
sisters called us and we ran over and gave their less active member a
blessing. It is nice to give a priesthood every once and a while.

Our investigator Irvin is doing quite well and still on track for
baptism. And we met a guy named Donley and he accepted the invitation
for baptism and he is a new investigator. So, a bunch a fun going on
in the missionary world. Hope your world is going well.

Love you friends!
